Actually they both tile perfectly in Illustrator and when they're printed to a hard copy – it's just when I make the gif – trying to work this one out!

i get the same thing when transferring from illustrator to photoshop. you need to do slices in illustrator and save for web to get it without the gaps. ;-D

or just remove one pixel all around your design and the white will disappear!

Nice pattern. Mine also have gaps when I make in illustrator. Will have to try that slice method.
