just...no.

Dani, "Remember to be nice and constructive with any criticisms!"
- GIST STUDIO on Feb 16,'08
You keep getting the bottom of the barrel comments. More than likely, Dani doesn't like the idea. Again, for the theme, I like what you've created. The roses don't seem to blend with the background, but if you've purposely set the roses above the pattern, I like it still.

Thanks for your support Emily - I'm glad someone gets it! Though I am quite happy that my work provokes strong comment either way - to quote Ocsar Wilde, "the only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about".

i love it!
don't feel discouraged because someone doesn't like it.
i don't like a lot of designs on here, and i say so.
but i really like this.
:)

i like it! it's kitsch but quality at the same time. i think it's a smart piece.
- tinyxl on Feb 17,'08
I really like this! It'd make the cutest wallpaper, or a interesting oxford-style shirt.

Or a purse or coat lining!

i love this! my only critique is the brown os the leaves of the roses...i wish they were a bit more teal or green to match the background. of course, that's subjective.

i think this would make the cutest cafe curtains in a breakfast nook or kitchen. :-)

Absolutely love the pattern. Maybe different colors?... pastel but not ones that clashh so much
- Sydney on Feb 17,'08
This definitely gets my vote. I am a fan of such patterns, where the main element does not blend with the background (similar to a new screen print over an old wallpaper). However, it would be cool to have a couple of variations of the flower - not only in size, but a few different shapes as well.

I love this :]
- Amy on Feb 18,'08
Yes Nik, I should've added a bud or two and some single leaves.
And tinyxl you're right on about the kitsch element - that's what I had in mind!
- ILONA KINCSES on Feb 20,'08
I like it :)
it reminds me of 90's wallpaper

i like it...reminds me of both oilcloth and victorian scrapbooking. i like the way you've offset the roses. why is this totally different from the rest of the prints you've done? this is a great direction :)
- Alice Rutherford on Feb 28,'08
Alice, I was in a vintage mood when I created this one and I used the same colours that I painted my kitchen (which is full of "kitchen kitsch").
- GIST STUDIO on Feb 28,'08
Really great vintage kitch theme here. You've demonstrated how to walk the fine (and brilliant) line between tacky and nostalgic! Thank you for the fine pattern, colors and concept are spot on.
